poppy fields dress

I LOVE little girl dresses! This material caught me and wouldn't let me leave the store until I bought a yard. It is corduroy and perfect for fall. Within a day and a half, I designed a pattern and completed a dress for my baby girl. I'm finishing up the pattern. Add jacket, bracelet, shoes, hair flower, AND cute baby girl.

dinosaur house

In thirty minutes, superman and I made him a dinosaur house. Supplies: 1 box finger paint cotton balls twigs rocks construction paper glue scissors knife duct tape Cut one LONG side of box down both sides and across bottom. Duct tape to other LONG piece underneath. Paint backdrop blue. Cut and glue on mountains of orange and brown. Cut and glue on grass and waterhole. Puff cotton balls to clouds, dip in glue, and paste. Cut slits with knife in corners for twigs. Insert twigs then duct tape on bottom to help secure. Duct tape bottom of other trees and plant. Throw rocks in. AND PLAY!! ROAR!! Now that my 2-year-old is entertained with something of his own....I'll be free to SEW!

creativity tag: bookmark

I was tagged a few months back to create something for the first five people who commented. I created these. I used the bookmark idea from 7 Layer Studio , but wanted to add something personal. The picture was printed from my printer onto "Printed Treasures Inkjet Printable Fabric-Iron on" found at Joann's. Of course, I had to make one for myself.

spider web baggies

Halloween is at the top of the list for me. I lay awake at night designing costumes, cooking goodies, and constructing crafts for October 31. I haven't discovered a use for these drawstring bags I made, but will probably be filled with something sweet.

aliza's room

Took me almost a year to complete Aliza's room. I started when I was six months pregnant and now she is six-months-old, but I think I'm done. fabric covered canvas from extra quilt blocks Aliza's blessing dress made by my Mom cute hook board found at HL (Hobby Lobby) with green paper placed in center with Modge Podge the crib bedding made in Amy Butler's Midwest Modern fabric and the quilt is a pattern from Denyse Schmidt there is also a green and white polka dot cork board on the wall covered lamp shade, and my favorite thing in her room is the green vase with pink gerber's pillow made with another extra quilt block fabric tote from pattern of Amy Butler's CD case in her "In Stitches" book. And to think I doubted using pink.
